About

I'm Nicholas Borszich, an engineer in Los Angeles. I build production systems on top of frontier LLM APIs, mostly through Addison Applications, the small shop I run. The throughline regardless of the label: find a real problem, prototype fast on the API, ship it, iterate against real usage.

What I'm building now: Split Test Pro, a Bayesian A/B testing app for Shopify, in production with paying customers; a productized CRO audit service backed by a multi-stage Claude vision pipeline; Coupon Defender, a Shopify app for coupon-code anomaly detection (in beta); and an internal multi-rubric scoring pipeline that reuses the same LLM-as-judge spine across products. Most of what I've learned doing this is in the posts on this site. The gist is to treat the model as an unreliable upstream service and validate everything on the way in.

I read a fair amount outside work: physics, CS, neuroscience. Not for any particular reason. I just like it.

Background: Before Addison, I led ecommerce at Pearl Paradise and ran conversion-optimization programs at CRC Health and MECLABS. Economics undergrad, film production minor.
